i-mate 7150 Ultimate Live Pictures

A few days ago, I had the chance to present to you the new line of Windows Mobile 6 handsets i-mate is going to launch this year. This line-up is called
"Ultimate" and, through it, i-mate is going to release on the market practically the same spec sheet in different design formats to satisfy everyone's tastes.

The device I'm going to write about here is the Ultimate 7150 (yes, the third one on the top row you saw here). This handset just got out from the rendered world it was living in and the first thing it did, obviously, was to attend a photo shoot organized by some lucky fellows from Slovakia.

The pictures show us a 7150 with sleek straight lines, a very cool looking QWERTY keyboard and, just to make the story short, a handset with a design very similar to the HTC Advantage (formerly known as Athena).

Although it gives a certain feeling of it being some kind of step brother of the Advantage, the similarities stop here because the 7150 has a far better looking body and the designing effort of the i-mate team really shows in the details (check out that wicked external OLED display and you'll understand what I mean).

The 7150 runs a Windows Mobile 6 OS and features an internal 3.5 inch 256k colors TFT display, an external 2.2 inch OLED display, an Intel 520 MHz processor, WLAN Wi-Fi connectivity, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, HSPDA, a 2 megapixel digital camera and a microSD memory expansion card slot.

Even if some people have thought i-mate was doomed when left behind by HTC, now we have the measure of their true skill.

I don't know about the other Ultimates going to show up on the market in the near future but, if all of them look so sleek and as breath taking as the 7150, I'm sure i-mate is going to have some winners on its hands.

You have been advertising this phone for about ten months but not releasing. I reliably understood that the phone was in the market in Middle East. Is that true ?

We do not advertise any phone on our website. The above news was simply announcing another device from the Ultimate series. If you read the news you'll find out that there's a site from Slovakia that leaked the pictures that you can see on our site.
Otherwise, it is true that i-Mate 7150 has been discontinued and it seems that the company won't be launching this model on the market (too soon at least).
