Huawei is said to debut a new smartphone during one of the year's biggest electronics events, IFA Berlin. A teaser poster reveals that Huawei intends to release the new Nova smartphone on September 1, as the company already scheduled a press conference for this event.

According to Android Pure, Huawei will be releasing the upcoming Huawei Nova during IFA Berlin and a press conference was already scheduled on September 1. IFA event is set to start on September 2 and end on September 7. Apparently, the official teaser was released on Weibo by Yu Chengdong, Senior Vice President Huawei Technologies.

The teaser doesn't actually mention the Nova smartphone, but it does have a smooth design with green light on the bottom portion of the poster. It also comes with the tagline “Defy Expectations”. Rumors say the smartphone could be the second generation or a variant of the Honor 8 smartphone.

However, there aren't many details on what specs we should expect on the smartphone, but considering that the unveiling is in early September, more information is bound to surface soon.

Huawei Nova will be aimed at a specific category of consumers

Huawei's Nova is said to be designed for women consumers, specifically. An image of the upcoming smartphone leaked recently, showing the side of the phone and its volume rocker.

While the picture didn't reveal much on the smartphone, it did show that it will have a smooth design and might come in a shiny gold variant. Huawei has done a good job with keeping the specs of this phone a secret, since there's virtually no information on its specs or even the display size.

Recently, Huawei released the Maimang 5, which came with Snapdragon 62SoC and a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution. It also had a fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port. The smartphone had 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
