Huawei has recently introduced a new line of smartphones with two devices, the Nova and Nova Plus. Additionally, the company is expected to announce the Mate 9 on November 3 and the Honor 6X on October 18, and it seems that another brand new Huawei smartphone has just received approval from the FCC.

Huawei is working on a new smartphone, named H1611 and which was recently spotted in the FCC database by PhoneArena. Considering that the device received FCC approval, chances are it might be announced by the end of the year in the US.

The smartphone seems to be compatible with AT&T's standard LTE bands, including band 30. This means that the upcoming H1611 might be part of AT&T's GoPhone prepaid family, but that remains to be seen.

Huawei H1611 might come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of local storage

The unannounced Huawei H1611 is a mid-ranger that was benchmarked on GFXBench a while ago, when some of its specs were also revealed. The smartphone might come with a 6-inch display with HD support and run an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It might also have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

In addition, internal storage might reach a disappointing capacity of just 9GB, with the rest being taken up by the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and other software that the manufacturer and the US carrier might wish to include.

Rear camera capacity won't be impressive either at just 8MP, though it will include LED flash and full HD video recording. A 2MP camera will most likely be found in the front for snapping selfies and conducting video calls. The smartphone might draw power from a 3,000mmAh battery and might also come with a microSD card slot for expanding internal memory.

It remains to be seen when Huawei and AT&T will make this smartphone available to customers, but it shouldn't be long now. Until then, Huawei fans are surely impatiently waiting for the November 3 event that will make the Mate 9 official.
