Huawei is one of the few major handset makers that didn't come up with any new handsets at MWC 2016 trade fair. However, the Chinese company is expected to unveil its flagship smartphone, the P9, in less than two weeks.

According to a new teaser recently published by Huawei, the handset maker has prepared a launch event on March 9, which will take place in Berlin, Germany.

Unfortunately, we aren't given any hints as to what Huawei might debut in March, so take this as pure speculation until more details on the P9 emerge online.

On the bright side, we have confirmation that Huawei P9 comes with dual-camera setup, something that's been rumored for quite some time now.

The back side of the Huawei P9 has been recently caught on camera, and the picture has been published on Weibo, the Chinese version of Facebook.

Just like all previous rumors claimed, the P9 packs a dual-camera on the back, as well as dual-tone LED flash.

There's also a squared-slot positioned right below the LED flash that suggests Huawei P9 might come with a fingerprint sensor, but that could be a spot where the Chinese company plans to put its logo.

The rumored specs include a powerful CPU and 4GB RAM

According to the latest hearsay, Huawei P9 will sport a 12-megapixel dual rear camera, as well as a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Also, the flagship smartphone will be equipped with a Kirin 950 processor inside, coupled with 4GB of RAM and either 32 or 64GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card slot.

Huawei P9 is said to feature a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, but there are no specifics on resolution. Still, since this is a flagship smartphone, Huawei might decide to include a Quad HD display.

No other details about the smartphone are available at the moment, but we expect at least a 3,000 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, and possibly USB Type-C port.

On top of that, rumor has it that Huawei plans to launch four variations of its flagship smartphone: the regular P9, a budget-friendly P9 Lite model, a P9 max phablet, and an enhanced edition P9.
