Could this be the real-life Huawei Nexus or just a fake?

There are a few phones this autumn which are hotly anticipated by the mobile loving community. The first one up is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which will be followed by the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus later this autumn.

Last but not least, Google is expected to do what it failed to do at its I/O 2015 conference in May - unveil a duo of new Nexus devices. This year, we won’t see a smartphone and a tablet, but two handsets, one made by LG and one produced by Huawei.

A few days ago, we got treated to the full specifications of the two phones. Well, today, Steve Hemmerstoffer of French website Nowhereelese has shared with us a video showing the purported Huawei Nexus for a total of 10 seconds.

We were previously told that the Huawei Nexus should feature a metal build, and the back of the phone shown in the video does seem to feature a slight metallic finish.

Other aspects are also visible in the clip, like the fact that the Huawei Nexus will come with a fingerprint scanner located on the back. The hardware buttons are located on the right side of the phone.

There’s also a camera module that is reminiscent of the Nexus 5. More than that, at the bottom of the device, we can spot what seems to be a USB Type-C port, although we can’t be 100% sure at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt for the time being.

It appears that the Huawei Nexus smartphone will be the high-end model from the two upcoming Nexuses. The handset is tipped to arrive with a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), a 21MP main camera with IMX230 sensor, plus Rezence/WiPower wireless charging.

Previous leaks indicated that the phone would come equipped with a Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood, but handsets taking advantage of this architecture are expected to hit the market in March 2016, with the Xiaomi Mi5 Pro being the first to don the new silicon piece. So it seems that the Huawei Nexus will actually take advantage of a Snapdragon 810 instead.
