Great news for Huawei fans, as the Chinese company quietly introduced a beefed-up version of its latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 9. A new version of the phablet is now available through various retailers across the world, but unlike the standard model, it packs a higher amount of memory.

If you don't remember, Huawei announced last year that the Mate 9 would be available on the market with 4GB of RAM inside, as well as either 32GB or 64GB of storage (expandable via microSD card).

The base model costs around $600, but in some markets like China, the Mate 9 is available for slightly cheaper. However, the improved version of the phablet packs no less than 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.

The only downside would be the fact that it doesn't pack microSD card slot for memory expansion, but 128GB should be more than enough even for heavy users.

Obviously, the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM model is much more expensive than the standard model. For example, Amazon is now selling this version of the Mate 9 in the United States for a whopping $900 outright.

In China, this beefed-up Huawei Mate 9 costs $800, while in Europe you can't get one for less than 900 EUR. No carrier seems to offer this version of the phablet yet and Huawei hasn't yet officially confirmed it, but since so many retailers have it for sale, we can safely assume this is a real device.

Aside from the higher amount of memory, this version of the Mate 9 doesn't come with any other differences compared to the standard 32GB or 64GB models.

Also, it seems to be available in four different color options: Black, Mocha Gold, Champagne Gold and Ceramic White. Would you chose this 6GB RAM model over the base model?
