Chinese promotional posters confirm the pre-order date

November 3 is the day that many Huawei fans have been expecting for quite a long time. The reveal of the Mate 9 is going to take place later today, but the smartphone could start selling earlier than anyone would have expected.

It's quite common for major handset makers to prefer to first announce their flagships and make them available for purchase at a later date. Huawei will not be an exception to the rule, but the Mate 9 pre-sales might start soon after the official reveal of the phablet.

A set of pictures showing some Huawei Mate 9 promotional posters confirm that the Chinese company could start pre-sales of the phablet as early as November 4. However, the smartphone will only be available in China.

It remains to be seen whether or not pre-sales for the Mate 9 will start in Europe and other regions around the same time. Let's not forget that Huawei's main launch event takes place in Munich, Germany, so it would make sense for the Mate 9 to start selling in Europe as early as possible.

Unfortunately, the promotional posters don't mention anything about the phone's price, but rumors claim the cheapest version (4GB RAM and 64GB storage) will cost between $480 and $510. Additional Huawei Mate 9 models could be available for purchase for $585 (4GB RAM and 128GB storage), or for $705 (6GB RAM and 256GB storage).

These amounts are far from what initial sources claimed. It would have been quite sad for Huawei to price its flagship smartphone at around $1,300 outright, as few could have afforded such a price.

We also expect the Huawei Mate 9 to be released worldwide in waves, so some countries might get it ahead of others. We'll most likely find out more about its availability in Europe and the United States later today, so stay tuned.
