Huawei launched its Honor 9 flagship Android smartphone last week, and it now looks like the Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company officially released a Premium version of the device.

Honor 9 is already a great mobile phone, featuring a 5.15-inch Full HD LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution, a HiSilicon Kirin 960 chip, an Octa-core (4x2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) processor, dual camera (20MP + 12 MP) , 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage.

According to WinFuture, Huawei recently announced the Honor 9 Premium, a more powerful variant of Honor 9 that features in 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage instead of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage as the original model ships with at launch. But other than that, the rest of the specifications remain the same.

Honor 9 Premium to be unveiled in Italy and other parts of Europe

According to the report, it would appear that Huawei plans to unveil the Honor 9 Premium model in Italy and Switzerland later this month, and it's coming soon to other parts of Europe as well. The device should soon be available for pre-order from select mobile carriers, and it's shipping towards the end of August.

Those of you who want to purchase the Honor 9 Premium model in your country will have to prepare around €450, €50 more than what the Honor 9 costs, that if you want to have 2GB more RAM on your device, as well as double the internal storage, though both variants support microSD cards up to 256 GB.

Huawei plans to release the Sapphire Blue and Glacier Gray variants of the device on August 28, and the Midnight Black color option on September 30, 2017. The devices come preinstalled with Google's Android 7.0 Nougat mobile operating system and a non-removable Li-Po 3200 mAh battery.
