14 DAY TRIAL // Huawei is one of the most successful handset manufacturers in the world. The Huawei Honor family of smartphones is well known among Android fans thanks to its cheap but powerful devices.
The Chinese company launched at least several Honor smartphones this year, but there will be more released by the end of the year.
One of these unannounced devices has just been spotted at TENAA by the folks over at GizmoChina. The smartphone goes by the name of Huawei Honor 7i and it might be officially unveiled on August 20.
The Chinese company recently published a teaser for a launch event that will be held in China next week. The teaser says that “You Can Change The Vision Together” and features the “7i” name, which might be the name of the device.
There are many smartphones that Huawei plans to launch in the next couple of months, including a certain Huawei Mate 7 Plus or Mate 7 mini that leaked over the weekend.
But the Huawei Honor 7i will be totally different from any other of the company's smartphones since it will pack a swiveling camera, just like some of Oppo's previous devices.
Two variants might be announced next month
The back side of the handset features a camera that can also be used as a selfie camera if you slide it up. The photo snapper comes with dual-LED flash as well, autofocus and video recording.
Other specs that have been mentioned in the documents filed at TENAA include a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor complemented by an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit.
Also, the Honor 7i will pack 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
There might be another variant of the Huawei Honor 7i, which will pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The pricing options for these smartphones will range between $320 (€292) and $400 (€365) outright.
Other than that, we don't know anything else about the Honor 7i, but we expect more details to leak before the unveil date that's set for August 20.
