14 DAY TRIAL // Huawei teased the launch of Honor 7 a few days ago, and everything pointed to an October 7 reveal. Today, the Chinese company has officially introduced the high-end Android smartphone in India.
Customers who want to buy the Huawei Honor 7 will have to wait one more week, since the handset won't go on sale until October 15. It's also worth mentioning the smartphone will feature a price tag of Rs 22,999 ($355 / €315).
According to a new report, Huawei Honor 7 will be exclusively available in India via Flipkart, so customers won't be able to get it from other authorized retailers yet.
Keep in mind though that Flipkart will have a promotional offer for the Huawei Honor 7, which will be available for a limited time for only Rs 14,000 ($215 / €190) outright.
Only the 16GB model will be available for purchase next week via Flipkart, so we don't know whether or not Huawei will bring the 64GB variant in India as well.
Metal body and dual-SIM support
Huawei Honor 7 will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it. The good news is Huawei is likely to upgrade the Honor 7 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the coming months.
Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a 2.2GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor, a Mali-T628 MP4 graphics processing unit, and 3GB of RAM.
As mentioned earlier, the Honor 7 comes with 16GB of storage inside, but users will be able to further expand internal memory up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Huawei Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. There's also a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera that features a Sony IMX230 sensor, dual-tone LED flash, and video recording.
The smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the front for great selfies and video calls. Last but not least, Honor 7 is powered by a 3,100mAh battery and offers a wide range of connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and GPS with AGPS support.
