Rumors about the Huawei Honor 7 and Honor 7 Plus, sequels to the Honor 6 and Honor 6 Plus, have appeared online ever since May. The Honor 7 even leaked in a bunch of live images, but so far we haven’t had the opportunity to lay our eyes on the Honor 7 Plus.

Luckily, @OnLeaks has shared an image on Twitter which gives us a glimpse of what the Honor 7 Plus will look like when it’s released. Well, we can only see the back of the device, but even so, we can still make a mental picture.

As you can see, the phone features some metal accents incorporated into its design, but information about its specifications is pretty contradictory. The leakster who revealed the picture says the device will arrive with a 5.5-inch display with FHD resolution (1920 x 1080), which is Huawei’s favorite.

But the phone already popped up in a listing with online retailer Gizok revealing that it might be one of the first devices to come out of Huawei with a 5.5-inch display with 2K resolution (2560 x 1440).

Moreover, we’re also told the Honor 7 Plus’ dimensions are 151.4 x 76.3 x 7.9 mm / 5.9 x 3 x 0.31 inches.

The exact specs of the Huawei Honor 7 Plus are still fuzzy

Earlier rumors would have us believe that the main differentiator between the Honor 7 Plus and Honor 7 is the amount of RAM storage. Both models will take advantage of Huawei’s proprietary Kirin 935 chipset, but the first model will pack 4GB of RAM on board, while the standard version will rely only on 3GB.

Huawei Honor 7 will pack 16GB of internal storage, while the Plus version should take advantage of a heftier 64GB or 128GB (no word on microSD card slot).

Both smartphones feature a 13MP camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash, optical image stabilization and video recording, plus a 3,280 maAh battery.

Even so, the Gizok listing says that the Honor 7 Plus should pack a dual 16MP rear camera plus a 13MP frontal camera, which makes more sense given that the Honor 6 Plus also had a dual camera setup.

The Honor 7 Plus (as well as the standard model) is said to be shipping out with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.0 on top, although if Huawei decides to hold off on the release of the phones, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be out and about by the time they are introduced to the market.
