14 DAY TRIAL // The Honor 7 Plus is the next high-end smartphone to be launched by Huawei, but the Chinese company has yet to unveil the device.
We already know a few things about the Huawei Honor 7 Plus since information about the smartphone leaked back in September, but this is the first time we get a glimpse at what the phone looks like and what's under the metal chassis.
The smartphone has been recently spotted at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, the folks over at TechGrapple report.
The listing at TENAA includes several pictures of the smartphone and many details about the phone's technical specification.
Although the smartphone is listed at TENAA as Huawei KIW-AL20, it features the Honor branding on the back cover, which is why we believe this is the unannounced Honor 7 Plus.
Furthermore, the Honor 7 Plus has been confirmed to pack a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Unfortunately, TENAA does not mention the type of chipset inside the Honor 7 Plus, but we suspect the smartphone might include a Snapdragon 615 CPU.
5.5-inch display, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
Also, Huawei Honor 7 Plus sports a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. There's no mention of Corning Gorilla Glass coating, though.
At the back, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The Honor 7 Plus will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box with Emotion UI. Other highlights of the phone include fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE and FM Radio.
Huawei's high-end smartphone is expected to arrive in China sometime in January and will cost around $235 outright. It will be available in Gold, Gray, and Silver.
