Huawei's Honor sub-brand has become quite popular among consumers considering that the recently announced Honor 8 managed to sell 1.5 million units in just a few months. Now, Honor is working on another upcoming smartphone, the Honor 6X.

The smartphone was recently spotted on TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission and some of its specs were revealed. The mid-range device seems to come with a dual-camera setup on the back and it will surely have a powerful camera in the front as well.

Honor 6X might also have a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution and run Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 processor, together with 2 or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded using a micro SD card.

Honor 6X will most likely come with dual-SIM and 4G LTE support

The smartphone is expected to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and it could actually have USB Type-C ports. It might also feature dual-SIM and 4G LTE support. Additionally, the device appears to come with a metal body, which would give the mid-ranger a premium feel.

PhoneArena reported that the smartphone could be announced on October 18, which would make sense since its predecessor, the Honor 5X, was announced on the first day of November last year.

Honor 6X is expected to have more advanced features compared to the Honor 5X, which came with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with full HD support, a fingerprint scanner and a 3,000mAh battery. It ran a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, coupled with Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

It had 16GB of internal memory and the smartphone came with the option to expand to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone came with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front selfie snapper. Honor 5X ran Android 5.1 Lollipop with Emotion 3.1 UI on top.
