Some mid-range smartphones make it to the list as well

Huawei is one of the few companies that have yet to push Android 7.0 Nougat updates to its smartphones, but it's also one of the few to have released a Nougat smartphone, the Mate 9.

The good news is Huawei has already started to work on the update and the Honor 8 has already received an Android 7.0 Nougat beta build last month, so we expect the final version to hit all devices in the coming weeks.

But what about the other smartphones Huawei has launched this year? Well, fret not, as the Chinese company plans to upgrade some of its devices that aren't necessarily high-end smartphones.

For example, the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus have been confirmed to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update, alongside EMUI 5.0, the company's proprietary user interface. Naturally, Huawei's last year flagship smartphone, the Mate 8, will be getting the update as well.

Last but not least, Huawei P9 and all its variations, the P9 Plus and P9 lite, will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update, too. It remains to be seen when all these smartphones will start getting the update, though there's a high chance that nothing will happen until next year.

The list isn't complete, so more phones could be added

Although Honor is a different brand, Huawei may be busy making Android 7.0 Nougat ready for the Honor 8, so the rest of the phones will probably follow soon.

It's also worth noting that Huawei Mate 8 and P9 have already received EMUI 5.0 beta builds several weeks ago, so it would make sense for these two devices to be among the first to receive Android 7.0 Nougat.

Keep in mind that, while the list of smartphones confirmed to receive Android 7.0 Nougat updates soon is pretty short, Huawei could add more devices in the coming weeks. So, if you have another Huawei smartphone that isn't listed, you should wait for more details in the not so distant future.
