Chinese handset maker Huawei is working hard to bring some of its popular smartphones to the Android Lollipop operating system, but the company has major plans when it comes to Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well.

Huawei has upgraded a handful of handsets to Android Lollipop in the last few months, which might be the last to receive the update since the company will now focus on delivering Marshmallow to its devices.

In a recent post on its official website spotted by GizmoChina, Huawei has confirmed which smartphones in China will receive the highly anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the coming months.

The company has not mentioned when exactly it will deliver the update to these devices, but it has announced work will begin as early as November.

No ETA has been given for the release of these updates

Anyway, without further ado, here are the first smartphones that should receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrades in China:

Huawei P8, Huawei Mate 7, Huawei Mate S, Huawei P8 Youth Edition, Huawei P8 Max, Huawei G8 Chinese Variant, Huawei G7 Plus, Huawei G7, Huawei Honor 7, Huawei Honor 7i, Huawei Honor 6 Plus, Huawei Honor 6, Huawei X2, Huawei 4X, and Huawei Play 4C.

As mentioned earlier, Huawei has confirmed Android 6.0 Marshmallow for these Chinese models of these smartphones, so the international versions might or might not get the update as well.

In fact, there might be many similarities between the Chinese and international list of devices to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but we're still waiting for official word from Huawei.

It's also worth mentioning Huawei has not unveiled any details on what is going to happen with their Emotion UI once these Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates start rolling out.

A new version of Emotion UI hasn't been confirmed yet, but Huawei has enough time to shed some light on the matter. Stay tuned for more on this one.
