HTC took to its Twitter account to tease the release of a new device. The smartphone manufacturer posted a video showing the back of a new smartphone to be released, with the tag #BeEdgier. Although the name of the upcoming device wasn't revealed, the company is expected to unveil the Desire 10 Pro on that date.

HTC is expected to announce the new Desire 10 Pro, which comes with some really powerful specs. Rumors point to a 5.1-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM.

In addition, the smartphone will reportedly come with a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter in the front. It is expected to pack 32GB of internal storage and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It's safe to say that the Desire 10 Pro will have a good chance of matching many of the specs on the HTC 10, the company's flagship.

HTC could also announce mid-ranger Desire 10 Lifestyle

Besides the Desire 10 Pro, the company is also expected to release the Desire 10 Lifestyle during the event on September 20. This particular phone could come with a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and Snapdragon 400 SoC.

It won't be a powerful phone, but rather one aimed at users who put emphasis on their device's design and style, while also looking for an affordable price tag. The Desire 10 Lifestyle could also come with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, and it will most likely be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat soon.

HTC is also working with Google on developing the upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, which are essentially the rebranded new Nexus phones. Google is expected to unveil these two devices during an event on October 4 and they are rumored to come with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
