HTC reported that its revenue increased by 41% in September compared to last month. The company recorded revenue of $417.9 million, the highest since November 2015. Year-on-year results also rose by an impressive 31.3%.

The company didn’t exactly disclose sale figures, but they will be made available in the Q3 financial report expected to come in the first days of November. Strong HTC 10 and Vive VR sales might have been the cause of HTC’s significant plunge in revenue.

In addition, HTC partnered with Google for developing two new smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL. This means that the company might record even higher revenue in the last quarter of this year. Analysts have said that Google and HTC are expected to sell between 3 and 4 million Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, but that remains to be seen.

The two phones were just released a few days ago and pre-orders have already been launched, with shipments set to start later this month. The report made available by the company also shows that HTC recorded a 15-month high.

Pixel smartphones might make up 50% of HTC shipments in Q4

DigiTimes showed that revenue for the third quarter of 2016 increased 18% quarter over quarter and 4% year on year at HTC. For the first three months of this year, HTC's revenue declined 40% from last year, which means that the company has managed to turn around its financial results in quite an impressive manner.

HTC smartphone shipments are said to reach 6.5-7 million units in the second half of this year and deliveries of the Pixel smartphones might account for 40-50% of the total shipments. In addition, HTC managed to ship 5.8-6.1 million devices during the first six months of this year.

Indeed, HTC is set to record a very profitable last quarter of the year, especially following its partnership with Google. But HTC is also working on new smartphones of its own, and the company might soon announce a new Ocean series.
