HTC will be announcing several smartphones during the U event scheduled for January 12. The company is expected to unveil its latest flagship, the HTC U Ultra, together with the U Play and One X10. Some details about the three new phones have just leaked out.

Reputable leakster @OnLeaks has just revealed that HTC One X10 (also known as HTC E66) will be the only smartphone out of the three to feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. The said audio jack will be located at the top of the phone, the same location as on its predecessor, the One X9.

The flagship HTC U Ultra and the U Play smartphone will feature USB Type-C ports to replace the missing 3.5mm headphone jack. More and more smartphone makers are ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of the new USB port.

HTC One X10 could pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory

Some specs for the upcoming One X10 have already been revealed, and the phone is believed to come with a 5.5-inch display that supports full HD resolution, just like the One X9. The mid-ranger might be powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor and feature 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with support for microSD card for expanding the local memory.

Moreover, it might incorporate a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone flash and a fingerprint sensor. In the front, it might have an 8MP camera for conducting video calls and taking selfies. Its battery capacity is unknown, but all will be revealed in just a couple days when the phone is expected to be announced.

On the other hand, the U Ultra might come with a 6-inch display and three color variants - black, blue and white. The display on the U Play might be a bit smaller at 5.2 inches. Needless to say, we’re looking forward to the HTC U event on Thursday.
