The One M9+ is a slightly enhanced version of HTC's flagship smartphone. It was announced back in April and made it to Asian markets one month later.

About a week ago we reported that HTC One M9+ might go on sale in Europe sometime in mid-July. Well, it looks like the Taiwanese company did not want to wait that long and made the One M9+ available beginning this week.

Dutch retailer Belsimpel has the HTC One M9+ available for purchase for no less than €700 ($780) outright. Although the price seems high, the smartphone is still €50 ($55) cheaper than the HTC One M9, which sells in Europe for €750 ($835).

The HTC One M9+ is also available for purchase in the United States since last month, but customers can only get it via Amazon for $800 (€720).

In the Netherlands, Android fans can get the HTC One M9+ in silver color, but we expect the smartphone to arrive in other countries soon and with additional color options.

Different chipset, camera and display

Unlike the One M9 which packs a 5-inch full HD display, the One M9+ boasts a much better 5.2-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Another difference between the two high-end smartphones is the chipset. While the standard model features the controversial Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC (system-on-chip), the One M9+ is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor.

Moreover, the enhanced version of HTC One M9 is equipped with a PowerVR G6200 graphics processing unit, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It's also worth mentioning HTC One M9+ comes with duo-camera on the back (20-megapixel + 2.1-megapixel rear-facing cameras) and 4-UltraPixel camera in the front.

Both HTC smartphones are powered by a non-removable 2,840 mAh battery and ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with HTC Sense 7.0 UI on top.
