HTC's next Android smartphone is a big question mark. We've been receiving information about the One A9, also known as Hima Aero, from various sources, but they don't seem to agree on a single spec sheet.

Although previous rumors suggested that the One A9 was in fact another flagship smartphone coming from HTC, the latest hearsay claims otherwise.

The One A9 was initially rumored to pack a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display and 4GB of RAM, but we reported to you a few days ago that the unannounced smartphone would come with slightly lower specs.

It appears that HTC One A9 will be an intermediate device, which means it won't come with top of the line specs.

Even though the Taiwanese company usually launches this type the devices under its Desire brand, this one will be added to the One family.

Is it possible for HTC to launch two One A9 versions?

According to the latest rumors, the One A9 will sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

The phone will be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and 2GB of RAM.

Also, HTC One A9 will pack 16GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

There will be a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, while in the front there should be a 4-UltraPixel camera for selfies and video calls. The One A9 will be powered by a 2,150 mAh battery and it should include a fingerprint scanner.

Today, the HTC One A9 has been listed by a Dutch retailer with a price tag of around $800 (€701), which is way too high for a mid-range smartphone. Let's hope this is just a placeholder and that the retail price will be much lower.
