As you probably know by now, HTC is prepping to unveil the One A9 or Hima Aero smartphone in the upcoming months, and we expect it to be an intermediate device of sorts, although it won’t be launched under the “Desire” name.

Yesterday, we showed you a bunch of blurry images showcasing the One A9, which revealed the phone’s physical Home button and front-facing camera. Today, we present you a bunch of renders showcasing the design of the One A9 which have been posted by prolific leakster @evleaks.

As you can see in the press renders, the phone will be offered in several coloring options including acid gold, opal silver, deep garnet, carbon gray, rose gold, and cast iron.

Judging by the images, the upcoming handset boasts a design very similar to the iPhone, something HTC probably hopes will capture the hearts and wallets of mobile enthusiasts across the globe. But some of us might not want to have to make do with another Apple clone.

Here's what the One A9 will probably bring to the table

As for the specs of the One A9, the rumor mill would have us believe that the smartphone will arrive with a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Also, the device is likely to be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 617 (it would be the first handset to take advantage of the platform) in combination with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

On the back, the phone will probably feature a 13MP photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while the front will be home to a 4MP UltraPixel camera for video calls and selfies.

Last but not least, HTC One A9 will be powered by a 2,150 mAh battery and fortunately will have a microSD card slot for memory expansion. A fingerprint scanner should be included too, probably located in the home button.

Interestingly enough, HTC is expected to unveil the device during a press event scheduled for September 29, which incidentally is the same date when Google will be launching the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The One A9 is also expected to launch with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.
