14 DAY TRIAL // HTC is one of the handset makers that lost quite a lot of money this year due to low sales of its products.
The Taiwanese company lost a lot of its market share since its HTC One M9 flagships smartphone did not introduced anything new it terms of hardware and design over the previous models.
Well, nothing that should justify an upgrade to One M9 if you already owned the One M8 that was released last year.
Even though the One M9 lacks a Quad HD display or other important features that most flagship smartphones should pack, HTC launched a few other high-end smartphones with the purpose of covering the needs of those who would like to benefit from these top of the line specs.
The One E9+ and One M9+ are such handsets. However, HTC continues to launch mid-range Android smartphones as well and the next one will probably be introduced in China.
A certain HTC Desire 728 has been recently spotted at TENAA and judging by its specs, it's a mid-ranger that will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
It might offer dual-SIM support as well
The Desire 728 will be powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor, though we don't know the supplier yet. Furthermore, the smartphone will be equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
The unannounced handset sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, but there's no mention of Corning Gorilla Glass. We do know that the screen features 267ppi (pixel per inch) density.
On the back, the Desire 728 packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.
HTC's mid-ranger has been confirmed to measure 7.9mm thickness and 150g (battery included) weight. Last but not least, the smartphone will be powered by a 2,800 mAh battery and it will be available in black, white, red, orange, gold and grey.
