HTC manufactured the recently announced Google smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL, but the company is also working on another device of its own. An image of the HTC Bolt (codenamed Acadia) has recently been leaked by Evan Blass, and it seems that new reports indicate Android Nougat will run on the upcoming smartphone.

Leakster LlabTooFeR took to Twitter to reveal that HTC’s upcoming HTC Bolt might be running Android N and Sense 8.0 out of the box. Some say that the smartphone may very well carry Android 7.1 Nougat at launch, but that remains to be seen. Sense 8.0 was also found on HTC 1, released earlier this year. However, HTC’s latest flagship is still running Android Marshmallow.

HTC Bolt won’t be a US-exclusive, as the device might be made available in other regions as well, including Europe, Asia and Africa. Sprint might also be selling the HTC Bolt in the US, starting the coming weeks.

HTC Bolt might have a fingerprint scanner and metal body, just like HTC 10

There’s not much information available on this upcoming HTC smartphone, but it does have a design somewhat similar to HTC 10. The handset might come with a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner on the front. The rear camera might have dual LED flash, but there’s no indication of laser auto focus.

HTC 10 came with some really powerful specs, including a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm, coupled with Adreno 530 graphics processing unit. In addition, the smartphone came with a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display with Quad HD resolution and USB Type-C port.

It also had 4GB of RAM and a fingerprint scanner in the home button. Front camera capacity reached 5MP with OIS and f/1.8 aperture, while the rear camera had 12MP with OIS and laser autofocus. Battery capacity was 3,000 mAh and the phone came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
