HTC is working on a new, exciting smartphone, after the company was the main manufacturer of Google’s latest smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL. HTC Bolt, also known as HTC Acadia, has been leaking in images and some information on the upcoming phone has also surfaced over the past few weeks.

Now, leakster LlabTooFeR revealed that HTC Bolt could come with Snapdragon 810 SoC (MSM8994) and a 5.5-inch WQHD display, which means a display with Wide Quad HD, QHD or Quad HD resolution. Previous rumors have stated that the smartphone could come with Full HD resolution, but a bump in pixel count is certainly good news. The display size of 5.5 inches corresponds to previous rumors.

The HTC Bolt was previously believed to come with Snapdragon 820 SoC, but it seems that HTC might be incorporating the controversial Snapdragon 810 chipset inside the phone. This processor model was previously linked to overheating issues in many smartphones released last year.

However, the manufacturer could very well change its mind and equip the HTC Bolt with a newer processor, but that remains to be seen.

HTC Bolt could come with 3GB of RAM and no 3.5mm headphone jack

Rumors about the upcoming phone point towards 3GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal memory. The smartphone could also ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack, which has started to become a trend among many phone makers.

No headphone jack means that the phone will most likely come with USB Type-C port. Leaked images of the HTC Bolt showed an all-metal design and a fingerprint scanner on the front of the phone.

Nevertheless, the HTC Bolt could come with dual LED flash rear camera and BoomSound speakers with dedicated amplifiers and digital sound processors, as well as proprietary software. The smartphone might be released in the US at Sprint later this month, as well as in several other markets around the world.
