14 DAY TRIAL // HTC's mobile division continues to lose money each month, but the Taiwanese company won't give up and will continue to work on new flagship and mid-range smartphones.
As some of you might already know, HTC launches its flagship handsets in spring, so it won't be until March or April that the company will reveal its next high-end smartphone.
This means that there's plenty of time to learn about the upcoming HTC 11 or whatever name the handset maker decides to use instead. Well, it appears that the first rumors about the unannounced HTC 11 have just popped up online in China.
The specs mentioned by a well-known Chinese leaker are too good to be true, but even if they are true, what's to say that HTC won't change some of them by the time the smartphone goes official.
While some of the specs listed on Weibo, the Chinese alternative to Facebook, seem very likely to be included in the HTC 11, others seem to have been thrown into the mix just to make the waiting more exciting.
In other words, this might just be some controlled hype, so take this information with a grain of salt until we can confirm these details from other sources.
Too good to be true?
Without further ado, here are some of the rumored specs that might be included in the HTC 11. First, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, which will be coupled with no less than 8GB of RAM.
If that's correct, the HTC 11 could be the world's first smartphone to pack 8GB of RAM. Moreover, the phone will come with 256GB of storage and a decent 5.5-inch display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
Another impressive feature is the dual-camera setup on the back, which will consist of two 12-megapixel modules. An 8-megapixel camera will be available in the front as well.
The 3,700 mAh battery inside the HTC 11 will benefit from Quick Charge 3.0 technology courtesy to Qualcomm.
