You can secure an iPhone X from Apple or your carrier

Today is the iPhone X day, as Apple starts the pre-order program for its 10th-anniversary iPhone model, and millions of buyers around the world are expected to at least try to reserve a unit.

Pre-ordering an iPhone X, however, is quite a challenge, especially because of the limited supply that’s expected to be available at first.

This means that only a few units would be shipped on November 3 when the device officially launches for customers, so even if you pre-order the iPhone X today, it’s essential to do it as fast as possible to make sure you’re included in the first batch of shipments.

How to pre-order the device

Pre-ordering the iPhone X for new customers is quite an easy thing to do, though as we said, it depends on how fast you move to make sure you get it on day one.

Apple offers two different ways to purchase the iPhone X from its own stores: the Apple.com preorder page and the Apple Store iOS apps. The latter needs to be used on a supported iPhone or iPad model, so you can already proceed to downloading the app on your device right away.

It goes without saying that whichever method you choose, you still have to complete a series of steps asking for information, so make sure you have your card and ID next to you to fill in the requested details as fast as possible.

Apple users in the US

Apple customers worldwide also have a second option to pre-order the iPhone X: their carriers. The launch of the iPhone X takes place in 55 countries simultaneously, and Apple worked with carriers to make the device available in all these markets, though not a single word has been said on how many units are being shipped to each country.

And while the best way for international users is to visit the official website of your carrier to find out whether an iPhone X pre-order program is available or not, here are the pre-order pages for all four major US carriers: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint.

In case you want to go the hard way and not pre-order the iPhone X, you can also head over to an Apple Store on November 3 to get the device yourselves. Apple’s recommendation: just come in early because lines are very likely.
