14 DAY TRIAL // Huawei seems to be performing well on the smartphone and tablet market, considering that it has just recently posted a 40% increase in revenues for H1 2016. The company has released some powerful handset this year, including the P9 and P9 Plus, and it seems that it’s working on other devices as well.
Information has just surfaced from China’s Weibo social network, revealing that Huawei will be unveiling the Honor Note 8 phablet on August 1. The phablet has recently been spotted on TENAA, and some specs have been revealed, and among them are a 6.6-inch 2k display and a Kirin 950 processor.
It’s also said to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, with the option to expand to 128GB using a microSD card. Another variant of the phone could ensure 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The phablet will draw power from a massive 4,400mAh battery and will have a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8MP unit on the front.
Huawei’s Honor 8 will come with a fingerprint sensor on the back
Honor Note 8 will measure 178.8×90.9×7.18mm and weigh 219 grams. Android Marshmallow 6.0 will run on the phablet, and it will have a fingerprint sensor placed on the back panel, as well as a USB Type-C port. The device should have support for 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity, not to mention that it will sport an all metal body.
Overall, it seems like a powerful phablet that’ll surely catch the attention of consumers, especially since Huawei has recently released some teasers to promote the device. The phablet could feature a price tag of $300 for the 3GB model and $344 for the 4GB variant.
Honor Note 8 is said to be unveiled on August 1 at the Huawei Exhibition Center in Beijing, but it’s unsure if it will hit other markets as well. The brand also intends to release the Honor 8 in San Francisco on August 16.
