The phablet is said to come with a 6.6-inch 2k display

Huawei is preparing to launch another device in the Honor series, a phablet that could have an impressive 6.6-inch 2k display and 4GB of RAM. The product has just recently appeared at TENAA, and the rumored release date seems to be August 1.

The latest information shows that press renders of the upcoming Honor Note 8 have surfaced online over at Android Pure. The images have been leaked on Chinese social network Weibo, and they suggest that the phablet will come with a fingerprint scanner and rounded edges.

The display seems to be bezel-less and curved at the top. In addition, the leak confirms that the device will come with a 6.6-inch 2k display with a pixel density of 443 ppi. What's more, the screen is Super AMOLED with 105% NTSC color gamut and 70000:1 contrast ratio, according to the post.

Honor Note 8 could come with 4GB of RAM and Kirin 955

Recent rumors point to the fact that the phablet could pack Huawei's Kirin 955, an octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. In addition, it could provide 64GB of internal storage, possibly with the option to expand storage using a microSD card. Rear camera capacity could reach 13MP with F/2.0 aperture, optical image stabilization, and RGBW sensor. An 8MP unit on the front is also expected.

The phablet will run Android Marshmallow 6.0 and is also said to come with a USB Type-C port. It will support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a full metal body. Honor Note 8 will measure 178.8×90.9×7.18mm and weigh 219 grams.

Honor Note 8 is also believed to come with a 4,500mAh battery, and the company might make it available in three colors, namely white, black, and gold. The graphics processing unit will be Mali-T880. Word is that the phablet could be sold for a price starting at $300, with the device projected to debut on August 1.
