Huawei’s sub-brand Honor first introduced the mid-range Honor 6X smartphone to the world in October last year and made the smartphone available in China afterward. It seems that the company took advantage of the media exposure provided by CES 2017 and announced that it would make the Honor 6X available in the US and Europe.

The affordable mid-range Honor 6X smartphone will sell in the US for a price of $249.99 for the 3GB of RAM variant. Pre-orders will start on January 4, while sales will go live on January 15, according to XDA Developers.

The device will go on sale in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and other European markets on January 4 and it will carry a price tag of €249.

The 4GB of RAM variant will be made available in the coming weeks

Honor 6X also comes with a 4GB of RAM variant which will be made available in the first quarter of 2017 for a price of about $299.99 / €299. The smartphone carried a price tag of about $237 in China, making it one of the most affordable mid-rangers with quite powerful specs.

The device has a metallic body with a 5.5-inch FHD LCD display and runs an octa-core Kirin 655 SoC based on the 16nm process. The processor has 4 cores clocked at 2.1GHz and 4 cores at 1.7GHz, coupled with Mali T830-MP2 graphics processing unit.

It comes in three configurations, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and the other two with 4GB of RAM and 32GB and 64GB of memory, respectively. Moreover, it supports microSD cards and comes with a 3,340mAh battery with fast charging. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top. The dual-lens camera setup on the back is one of its selling points, considering that it has a 12MP main camera with a secondary one of 2MP.
