Honor 9 has received a number of certifications and has been the subject of numerous leaks over the past few weeks. Some reports suggested that the smartphone could be announced on June 20-21 in China, but a newly leaked poster points to the June 12 unveil date.

The poster surfaced over at Playfuldroid and suggests June 12 as the unveil date for the new Honor 9 smartphone. The phone will apparently be announced in Shanghai. However, for the moment, take the information with a grain of salt, as the company has yet to officially confirm the unveil date.

The teaser features the “Beautiful and Colorful” tagline, hinting at multiple color options for the upcoming phone. In addition, the number 9 is visible on the poster, together with the typical Honor logo for a dual-camera setup.

Honor 9 is expected to feature two 20MP and 12MP sensors

That being said, Honor 9 already received TENAA certification a while ago, signaling the fact that the device is almost ready to be announced. Rumors say that Honor 9 could come with a 5.15-inch FHD display and run Kirin 960 SoC.

RAM capacity could reach 4GB for the smartphone, while internal storage might be 64GB. In addition, the smartphone could be equipped with a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of 20MP and 12MP sensors, together with an 8MP camera in the front.

Last year’s Honor 8 came with a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a 3,000mAh battery inside. It featured 4GB of RAM and a 12MP dual-camera setup on the back, while the phone ran an octa-core Kirin 950 SoC.

In addition, it came in two variants with different internal storage capacities, 32 and 64GB. The battery inside had a capacity of 3,000mAh, while the phone was offered in four color options, Pearl White, Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue and Gold. It also came with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating on top of the display and internal memory can be expanded to 256GB using a microSD card.
