Starting today, Europeans from a number of countries can pre-order Huawei’s Honor 8 Pro for the price of €549. Pre-orders are now live in multiple countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

The Honor 8 Pro is the most powerful smartphone under the Honor brand, although it’s the international variant of the Honor V9 that was introduced in China this February.

Honor 8 Pro is a rather large smartphone with a 5.7-inch 2k display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top to make it more durable and resistant to scratches or drops. The phone measures 157x77x7 mm and weighs in at 184g, slightly heavier than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro.

Inside, the smartphone impresses with very powerful specs that include 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card. When it comes to its processor, the Honor 8 Pro runs Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core SoC.

Battery capacity reaches 4,000mAh, while the front camera is 8MP and the Honor 8 Pro features two 12MP sensors on the back, one is a monochrome lens, while the other comes with an RGB lens inside.

The smartphone has a metal back, and its physical home key was replaced by soft keys instead. The power/lock and volume keys were placed on the right side of the device. The fingerprint scanner is located at the back of the phone, while the Honor 8 Pro runs Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top.

Fast charging ensures that users don’t have to wait long for the phone to charge. Honor 8 Pro currently comes in three color variants, including navy blue, midnight black and platinum gold.

Starting today, pre-orders are live in a number of European countries, but it’s unclear when the smartphones will actually ship. Perhaps, customers would have to wait a week or two to receive them.
