In February this year, months after TLC canceled their hit reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Honey Boo Boo and her family traveled to LA in an attempt to pitch a new reality series and hopefully get a music career off the ground.

Neither of that happened, because they were still under contract with TLC, which, though no longer shooting them, was still paying their bills. Honey Boo Boo and her mother Mama June were very sad about it because they had already recorded a song that, they said, would turn the former kiddie beauty pageant queen into a pop star.

Well, that song is here. It’s called “Movin’ Up” and features viral video star Adam Barta, Honey Boo Boo, Mama June, Pumpkin and Sugar Bear, and it’s so bad that it makes Rebecca Black’s “Friday” sound like a Grammy-worthy track.

The video is just as bad: it was shot in the recording studio and shows the family and Barta trying to make something called “the Honey Boo Boo Bop” happen. It doesn’t.

As a reminder, TLC canceled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo last year, after it emerged that Mama June had slept with a convicted pedophile, her ex-boyfriend, who had just been released from jail after serving 10 years for molesting her daughter when she was just 8.

The scandal sealed their fate and killed their TV career, because after it, no other network would touch them. Needless to say, this song isn’t going to make things better.

As a final warning before you check it out, you won’t be able to unhear or unsee it.
