Holly Madison isn’t holding anything back in her first memoir, the one who also lifts the lid on her years at the Playboy Mansion, as Hugh Hefner’s Number 1 girlfriend, “ Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.”

In between writing about her new life and her old one, which included being on the receiving end of emotional and verbal abuse from Hefner, she also dedicates a few chapter to her 4-month romance with magician Criss Angel, Too Fab reports.

Let’s just say that, if he bought a copy of the book, he must be a very unhappy man right now.

Holly claims Angel used, scared her

When Holly left the Mansion, she moved directly into Angel’s home in Las Vegas. She writes that nothing happened between them when she was still with Hefner, but admits to flirting with him when they met in Sin City.

So, after the breakup, they hooked up and he asked her to move in with him. She thought it would be a good idea because she didn’t know how to be on her own and, she says, she desperately wanted to feel loved and appreciated.

Shortly afterwards, she would come to understand that he was not the man to give her that. He would call the paparazzi to let them know where they were, because he was using her to deflect media attention from the disastrous reviews of his Vegas show.

He also started acting up early in the relationship. He never got violent towards her, but she feared this could happen any second, she writes.

Criss Angel isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed

As for the kind of man Angel is, Holly says that, despite his flashy, confident façade, he is actually an insecure, rather dumb man who thinks he could feel better about himself by controlling another person’s life - Holly’s, in this instance.

Much like Hefner did before, he too tried to get Holly to quit her job and become a fixture in his home. From the early stages of the relationship, he would have one of his bodyguards follow her wherever she went, which she eventually started to find extremely creepy.

“For all his fame, fortune, and success, Criss, to me, seemed crippingly insecure. This was starting to feel all too familiar,” Madison says in the book. She adds that he “just scared” her by insisting to control every aspect of her life, so she broke up with him.

He wasn’t very smart either, so they had nothing in common. Holly says she “found him to be unintelligent” and “virtually illiterate.”

Ouch! Criss Angel has had some scathing reviews in his career, but nothing as harsh as this.
