Hitman was praised for the quality of the first release in its first season, especially the cool Paris mission, and the developers at IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix are now saying that gamers will get access to the second content drop, which features Sapienza as a location, on April 26.

The studio says that the town on the southern coast of Italy is based on its real-world counterpart and will be dense, filled with challenges and with opportunities and stories that gamers will be able to discover as they play.

IO Interactive is not saying what the big mission that Agent 47 needs to tackle in Sapienza is or what his targets are, but it seems that the core structure will be relatively different from what they tackled back in Paris.

More details about the kinds of opportunities that will open up in the new location and about the specific challenges will be delivered closer to the launch date.

IO Interactive is also hinting that it has taken into account the feedback that the player community has been offering based on the first episode and wants to make sure that the level of difficulty is about the same for both veterans and newcomers.

Gamers can now enjoy the Vampire Magician Challenge Pack

The new content is set in Paris and is now offered for those playing on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, set to come to the PC shortly with its 10 new challenges that can only be completed by using a special outfit.

IO Interactive has also improved load times and has eliminated some other bugs that the fans have been flagging until now and the plan is to improve the gameplay, even more, when the Sapienza pack is launched for the title.

In May, Hitman will also introduce another major location in Marrakech, Morocco, complete with its challenges and targets.

Before the end of the year, IO Interactive will also take Agent 37 to three other cities in the United States of America, Thailand and Japan, and the studio seems to already have narrative plans for a second season.

In the meantime, the team is also planning to deliver more special challenges for players to deal with and the Elusive Target concept will also be implemented, offering gamers a time-limited and very difficult challenge that will come with solid rewards for those who are stealthy and careful enough to complete it.
