UK-based video games publisher Feral Interactive announced today the availability of the Hitman: Game of the Year Edition game for GNU/Linux and macOS platforms.

HITMAN: Game of the Year Edition (GOTY) was launched today, November 7, by independent Danish video game developer IO Interactive, and it features a new "Patient Zero" mission, new Escalations mission packs (The Clown Pack, The Cowboy Pack, and The Raven Pack), as well as new weapons and suits.

Also included in the GOTY edition, there are some new challenges, new lighting enhancements for all locations, as well as various other improvements to existing features to make the game look much better than before. All these bonuses come along with the original complete first season.

"Set your crosshairs on the definitive edition of Io-Interactive’s creative stealth-action hit. Now available for macOS and Linux, HITMAN – Game of the Year Edition," said Feral Interactive in today's announcement. "If you already own some HITMAN content, buy from Steam to complete your Game of the Year set."

Existing HITMAN customers can upgrade to the GOTY edition

HITMAN: The Complete First Season stealth game was originally ported by Feral Interactive to the macOS and Linux platforms earlier this year, on February 16. The game works well with both Nvidia and AMD Radeon graphics cards, and you can find the full system requirements on Steam for Linux or macOS.

That's why HITMAN: Game of the Year Edition has day-one Linux and macOS support, and, of course, this also means that if you already own HITMAN: The Complete First Season, you can upgrade to the Game of the Year Edition by purchasing additional content from Steam or Feral's online store.
