Flying guns aren't illegal in Connecticut

Quadcopters and drones are a common thing these days as they are seen almost everywhere when either big events happen, or people doing surveillance, or just for fun.

However, quadcopters or drones wielding guns isn't something you'd see every day, and funnily enough when it happens, it happens in Connecticut USA. Apparently, the video was uploaded by a user named "Hogwit" that shows a drone firing a couple of pistol rounds in a wooded area in Clinton, Conn.

After some short investigation by police authorities, it was found that the video was uploaded by Austin Haughwout, 18, a mechanical engineering student at Central Connecticut State University. The resemblance between his name and the YouTube nickname is pretty much obvious, as well the skills involved in building such flying device.

Apparently, the video caused such unrest among US authorities that FAA got involved to see if it is breaking any Connecticut gun laws. Flying guns are legal in Connecticut so FAA is still undecided if the experimenting student committed any gun law violations or has any criminal statutes.

The danger posed by such devices is indeed quite extreme, but when thinking about America's extremely relaxed gun laws, gun-wielding drones will soon find defenders among the Second Amendment's supporters. Unless serious accidents or crimes made by gun-toting drones happen, it's unlikely FAA or any US authority will ban the new flying guns.
