Heroes of the Storm, the team-based brawler that mashes up characters from other Blizzard titles, has just received two new heroes, Ragnaros and King Varian. Both will be available by the end of this month.

If you've played Hearthstone, then you already know who's Ragnaros, the Firelord. Emerged from the deeps of Sulfuron Keep in the Firelands, Ragnaros summons lava waves and can call down flaming meteors.

More importantly, Ragnaros can empower a Fort or Keep, enlarging his body and becoming a towering of inferno over the structure and gaining a second set of abilities. Basically, players can activate some sort of defense mode when close to a fort or keep in order to repel attacks from the opponent team.

Ragnaros, the Firelord can be played as a melee assassin class, but when it switches to keep/fort mode, he unleashes the fires of doom upon the enemy heroes.

The second new hero added to Heroes of the Storm is part of the World of Warcraft universe, Varian, the High King of the Alliance. He can be played as either melee warrior or melee assassin.

In fact, King Varian is the first multi-class hero in the game, which means that players can choose different disciplines to fit their play styles.

Alongside the new heroes mentioned earlier, Blizzard also announced a new brawl: Blackheart's Revenge. This is the first battleground that gives the two teams different objectives.

In this specific brawl, one team will have to defend the Nexus while gathering cannonballs, load them into the cannons located around the docks, and fire on the Blackheart's ship. The other team must stop the attacking team from collecting enough cannonballs to sink the ship before it reaches its destination.

Just like Ragnaros and King Varian heroes, the new Blackheart's Revenge brawl will be made available by the end of November.
