It seems dual DisplayPorts 1.2 work as one DisplayPort 1.3

There are countless of UHD panels right now for sales, most of which are basically a mish-mash of resolutions and features that try to make the most of what they offer while trying to attract customers with big words and pseudo-standard resolutions.

While very few actually stand by that standard, in providing true UHD resolutions of 3840 x 2160 or even true 4K resolutions of 4096 x 2160, even fewer dare to go to the next level and give customers the "5K" resolution display of the whopping 5120 x 2880.

Philips will apparently go where few have dared to go, and jump into the very elitist 5K market with its 275P4VYKEB monitor. Being basically a pretty common 27" with huge pixel density, using a Samsung PLS (IPS-type) panel here with 217.57 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) and 10-bit color depth. The screen offers an 8ms G2G response time 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and wide color gamut backlight with 99% Adobe RGB coverage. The screen is apparently flicker free.

The screen also has some pretty neat, position optimization options, allowing full range of ergonomic adjustments with tilt, height, swivel and rotate available. Connectivity-wise, the screen offers two DisplayPort 1.2 video connections and a suitable graphics card to actually power your 5K at 60Hz refresh rate. It's quite curious why Philips decided to power its 5K resolution display via 2 x DisplayPorts 1.2 and not just a single DisplayPort 1.3 which has the bandwidth to carry 32.4Gbps (bits per second), enough to power one 5K screen alone, and 4K frequencies up to 120Hz.

Additionally, the monitor has one audio input out for headphones, two built-in speakers and three USB 3.0 inputs, out of which one is for fast charging.

Unfortunately, there is no word at the moment about any availability or pricing, but we suspect that compared to Dell's current 5K monitor, Philips' price would be somewhere around $2499 (€2240).
