An Xbox One-PS4 mutant that manages to play mobile games

China never changes. In typical Chinese fashion, on China's version of Kickstarter, JD.com, there is a console on sale that basically rips design cues from both PlayStation 4 and Xbox one.

Looking like the two next-gen consoles had a baby that is now grown up, the Ouye is the dirty fantasy of any console fan dreaming of owning both the PS4 and Xbox One in one single form-factor. This is the magic of China, all your industrial design dreams come true, with the lowest production values possible.

Obviously, running on some modified version of Android (4.4.2), this copyright-infringing piece of hardware can be picked up for around $100 and it looks like it can barely play games like Sonic Dash.

Being equipped with a poor Allwinner octa-core A80 processor, this thing won't be running any Assassin's Creed or Destiny anytime soon. It's more fitted to play mobile games instead of any serious console entertainment. On the other hand, it claims with much confidence that it also supports 4K because its buyers "deserve the best."

Details given by Kotaku show us some shameless rip-offs regarding the console controller which is basically identical to the Xbox One, while someone noted that the console would be sold with one controller for $70.

The developers also said that it took them "one year and three months to get the product ready to ship, and spent half of that time building the console's unique design."
