Just two days ago, Apple started seeding the second Beta build of the upcoming macOS Sierra 10.12 operating system for Macs to developers enrolled in Apple's Developer Program.

Earlier today, Apple has released, as promised, the Public Beta versions of its upcoming iOS 10 and macOS Sierra operating systems, and we have already told you how to install the Public Beta release of the upcoming iOS 10 mobile OS on your registered iPhone, iPad or iPod touch devices.

And now, the time has come for us to show you how to install the Public Beta of the macOS Sierra 10.12 operating system on your MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air computer, even if you don't have a registered/paid developer account.

Installing macOS Sierra 10.12 Public Beta

Before anything else, you need to make a backup of all your important files on the respective Mac computer, either by uploading your stuff to iCloud or copying it to an external drive. Once you've done that, go to the Apple Beta Software Program website and sign in with the Apple ID that you're using right now on your Mac.

Enroll your Mac into the Apple Public Beta program for macOS by clicking on the "enroll your Mac" link in the "Getting Started" section. There, you'll get a redemption code that's only for your Apple ID to use, and you can only redeem it on the Mac computer where you're using that ID.

Now you must open the Mac App Store application on your Mac and redeem the code. If you don't know how to do that, just click the "Redeem Code" blue button on that page, and the macOS Sierra 10.12 Public Beta installer will begin to download in the background, which will take some time because it has over 6GB in size.

Once the download is over, you'll be promoted to install macOS Sierra on your Mac. Follow the instructions on the screen to install macOS 10.12 Public Beta. Please note that your Mac will restart a few times in order for the OS to be installed. That's it! You'll automatically receive future Public Beta updates via the Mac App Store.
