MSI just announced its H110-based motherboards will join the PRO Series line of products. The new mainboards will arrive with both DDR4 and DDR3L low voltage DRAM modules.

Coming based on the new Z170 chipset, the H170 and its H110/B150 PRO Series derivatives are built to support in different purpose/form factor Intel's 6th Generation core processors. Not built for performance like the Z170-based models, the H170 is a motherboard dedicated to small businesses and family computing that has the major advantage of supporting the new DDR4 memory standard and, of course, allow some extra features and improvements.

The unique DDR4 Boost technology it comes with has optimized traces and a fully isolated circuitry while the design ensures the memory signals to apparently stay "pure for optimal performance and stability." Additionally, the I/O protection appears to be of Military Class 4 and boasts of having the best components for stability and performance in extreme conditions featuring Guard-Pro.

Built for rough thermal conditions, the feature protects the essential elements for better stability in the worst conditions. MSI believes that unknown selected materials and multiple PCB layers will provide the best circuit protection.

Additionally, the new Series benefit the EZ Debug LED, Overvoltage Protection and VGA Armor and work great with system integrators. Video ports-wise, the card offers a legacy DVI and/or VGA video output and for 4K UHD (2160p ultra-high definition) users can enjoy HDMI ports and DisplayPorts. Audio-wise, the card benefits from the Audio Boost via 6-channel Audio or high impedance headphones thanks to premium quality audio components.

Firmware-wise, the card comes with MSI M-Cloud as a convenient and secure way of saving personal files in the cloud. Compatibility-wise, the new card received the official Microsoft Windows 10 WHQL certification so you won't have to worry about issues with drivers and additional firmware.

Not many specs are available for the card except the official PR lingo, but since this is not a Z170 model, you can't have much to expect from it. Unfortunately, the press release at TechPowerUp didn't mention any release date or availability.
