Donald Trump waged a massive campaign against Fox News’ Megyn Kelly for calling him out as a misogynist during the first GOP Presidential debate last week, so it will be interesting to watch for his reaction to Heidi Klum’s most recent comments.

There’s a new feud brewing, and as expected, it was Trump who started it. Over the weekend, the NY Times ran a profile on him, including a quote in which he said Heidi Klum was no longer a 10. She has issued 2 separate responses to this.

Trump is rude, offensive

“Sometimes I do go a little bit far,” Trump said in the aforementioned interview, before adding, “Heidi Klum. Sadly, she’s no longer a 10.”

The Klum comment came out of the blue and didn’t fit in any way in the discussion save to “prove” that Trump was the kind of man who always spoke his mind, no matter who might end up being hurt or offended by it.

Heidi, who had made a successful transition from modeling to television, as judge and mentor on a variety of shows, first responded with the tweet below. It also included a video that saw a man with a Trump mask ripping off the 10 on her chest, only to reveal a 9.99.

In a way, it seemed as if she was agreeing with the Presidential hopeful: she was no longer the 10 she was back in her glory modeling days, but she was the closest thing to it.

Now that she’s had more time to think it over, she takes it back: she was trying to point out the funny side in all this, she tells Access Hollywood, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she was brought into a conversation on politics for no apparent reason.

Mel B, the former Scary Spice from Spice Girls, who also sat with Klum on the interview, agrees: Donald Trump is rude and he’s offensive, because he assumes he’s in a position in which he can grade women based on appearance.

Grading women is a no-no

All women are a 10, Heidi Klum says. The idea that you’re no longer your best after a certain age, when in fact you’re able to do so much more, is upsetting and shouldn’t be put out there by a public figure.

Women are under a lot of pressure as it is, what with juggling family life, kids and career, and the last thing they need is to be told they’re no longer a 10 past a certain age. Aging is not something that can be controlled and it’s wrong for women to be the only ones held against this impossible standard.

The video with the interview is available below. You can tell that all amusement has been sucked out of Heidi by the time she addresses Trump’s comment.
