Announced back in April, HBO Now streaming service was only available for Apple devices until recently. It was launched in the United States and costs $14.99 per month.

However, beginning this week, HBO Now is available on Android and Amazon devices, that includes both smartphones and tablets.

Obviously, those who want to watch HBO Now will have to pay $14.99 per month. It's also worth mentioning that all new customers will benefit from 30-day introductory free trial.

Not only does the free trial allow new users to watch streams on their mobile devices, but they will also be able to watch them via HBO's website.

Fire TV and Amazon TV support will come later on

For the time being, HBO Now is available on the latest generation of Amazon's Fire tablets, including the Fire HD 6 and Fire HD 7, but also on the Fire HDX 8.9.

According to Amazon, in the coming weeks, HBO Now will also be available on Fire TV and Fire TV Stick.

“Amazon has cultivated an incredibly vast and savvy base of customers that we’re excited to provide with unlimited access to all of HBO through HBO NOW.

“The addition of Amazon devices is another great stride in the distribution of HBO NOW and affirmation of our long standing partnership with Amazon,” said Bernadette Aulestia, executive vice president, Global Distribution Operations, HBO.

When it comes to other Android devices, Google and HBO confirmed that the streaming service would feature Chromecast support slightly later. HBO Now is not yet available for Android TV, but support will be added soon.

The HBO Now application for Android devices will be available for download via Google Play Store later today.

Once again, keep in mind that the streaming service is only available in the United States, so the application might not show on your Play store if it's not set in the specified region.
