Video game developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft have been slowing down the rate of new reveals about Halo 5: Guardians after the massive presence that the shooter had at E3 2015, where the Warzone mode was first demoed and more info was offered on the single-player campaign.

The most recent lore-focused update on the Halo Waypoint site does talk about some of the new armor variants for the new GEN 2 Mjolnir that gamers will be able to get access to in the title.

343 Industries states that Fenrir is designed to have an efficient, responsive and aggressive battlefield management Artificial Intelligence, whereas Argonaut armor, which is usually reserved for Office of Naval Intelligence personnel, has more efficient reflex enhancers because the user undergoes more training linked to the feature.

The studio also discusses the Security armor, mostly used by soldiers that defend ships and stations, which can seamlessly integrate with the security options that the Navy has implemented on its assets.

The development team is not saying whether the versions are designed to be used during multiplayer matches or if some of them are only offered in the campaign.

Variety is one of the elements that 343 Industries wants to emphasize in Halo 5: Guardians.

The Master Chief shooter aims to revolutionize the series

Halo 5: Guardians is the first title in the long-running Microsoft franchise that is arriving on the new Xbox One, and that means that the game needs to deliver significant improvements when compared to previous installments.

For the single player, 343 Industries is offering a dual approach, with events told from the perspective of both Master Chief and Agent Locke, each of them backed by two teams of Spartans that need to work together.

The content can also be played cooperatively.

The multiplayer experience of the shooter will be faster and more dynamic, with a range of new powers for Spartans.

Gamers who do not like the new additions can choose to play a more classic take on the mechanics if they use the custom game option included by 343 Industries.

Halo 5: Guardians will be out on October 27.
