The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are continuing their publicity campaign for Halo 5: Guardians by delivering a new major cinematic taken from the shooter that focuses on the Blue Team.

The footage is designed to act as an introduction for the Spartan IIs that are tasked with assaulting an abandoned research facility that belonged to the Office of Naval Intelligence in order to make sure that it will not be captured by a band of capable Covenant loyalists.

The leader of the Blue Team in Halo 5: Guardians is Master Chief himself and gamers will be able to also take control of Fredric-104, Kelly-087, and Linda-058.

All the Spartan IIs are old comrades who have gone through training and indoctrination together, and they now need to fight together in order to stop yet another threat that might extinguish life in the galaxy.

The footage of Blue Team will be good news for fans of Master Chief, who have so far been asked to care more about Agent Locke, a newcomer to the series that does not have the extensive backstory of their favorite Spartan.

Halo 5: Guardians will offer a deep single-player campaign

The interplay between Master Chief and Agent Locke is at the core of the narrative of the coming shooter.

343 Industries and Microsoft have recently launched a new Hunt the Truth season that's designed to give gamers more context about the overall situation they will have to deal with.

The Fall of Reach is an animated series that will be launched alongside Halo 5: Guardians and is designed to give gamers more details about the Spartan II training program and the power of Blue Team.

343 Industries has said that it wants to deliver a single-player campaign with more emotion and nuance than before and that it is aiming to make cooperative play for all missions a core element of the shooter.

It will be offered for free to those who pick up the Digital Deluxe, Limited Collector's or Limited Edition of the title.

Halo 5: Guardians will be launched on October 27 only on the Xbox One and gamers are also able to get a special version of the console branded with the imagery associated with the franchise.
