14 DAY TRIAL // Halo 5: Guardians has officially gone gold, according to developer 343 Industries. The studio not only confirms that work on the main game is done but also shares some details about the pre-load period, the day-one update, as well as an infographic that depicts the different aspects of the new game.
Halo 5: Guardians is the next entry in the long-running series published by Microsoft and promises to combine a compelling story campaign with not one but two different multiplayer modes, in the form of Arena and Warzone.
Halo 5 is ready for launch, pre-load coming next week
The game already got lots of details about its old and new mechanics in recent months, and now, just a few weeks ahead of its scheduled release on October 27, 343 Industries confirms on the Halo Waypoint that Halo 5: Guardians has gone gold.
This means that the studio has officially completed the development of the main game and that it's ready for its upcoming launch.
This doesn't mean that the team is going on vacation, as it's now putting the final touches on the day-one update for Halo 5, which includes the roster of maps for the Arena mode as well as the Warzone experience.
The title will be available for pre-load to all those who bought the digital version next week. The aforementioned update will also be available for pre-load for digital owners shortly before the October 27 release date. Those who buy the disc will have to wait for the patch to transfer after they complete the installation.
343 Industries also pledges to release new monthly content, such as fresh things for the Requisition system and 18 free multiplayer maps.
