14 DAY TRIAL // Halle Berry swore she’d never marry again after her previous bad experiences with marital life, but she changed her mind when she met Olivier Martinez, the father of her youngest child. They’ve been married for over 2 years, but have finally come at “the end of the road,” according to a new report.
They have been living separately for months and have long become convinced that there’s no saving their marriage anymore. The only reason they did not announce the separation to this date is that they’re “delaying the inevitable,” sources close to the couple say for Radar Online.
It’s all Martinez’s fault
The two haven’t been seen together in public since February this year, but rumors of marital problems had begun long before that, sometime in October 2014.
This was strange for a couple that usually put up a united front when the situation demanded it: he’d attend her premieres and she would show her support by going to his. They would also be photographed by the paparazzi on a regular basis, either out running errands or in and out of the airport.
Radar says that the explanation is simple: they’re no longer together. They might not be divorcing just yet, but that’s the only direction this is heading into.
“It seems Halle and Olivier have finally hit the end of the road. They’ve weathered a lot of ups and downs in their relationship - but recently, Olivier has been completely MIA!” a family friend says. “Halle is telling pals she worries that Olivier’s runaway temper could put her kids at risk.”
A highly flammable temper
As per the same report, Halle grew increasingly worried about Martinez’s temper, which he made little to no effort to keep in check.
Obviously, she knew he could go off at any second, but when he hit an airport worker with their son’s carseat because he wanted to take his picture, she warned him that this kind of behavior needed to stop.
It didn’t.
The report notes that Martinez has been living at the couple’s Malibu home, while Halle and the kids, son Maceo and daughter Nahla, conceived during a relationship with model Gabriel Aubry, live in the Hollywood Hills.
They have not announced the separation or plans to divorce yet, but the source says that this will happen, no doubt about it. There is no other option for them at this point.
