WauchulaGhost takes on ISIS in another defacement campaign

One hacker is waging war against ISIS with adult images after hacking over 250 Twitter accounts known to be associated with the terrorist group.

WauchulaGhost is a hacker that's been known for a lot of work, including pointing out security flaws in President Trump's Twitter account after his inauguration.

His fight against ISIS on social media goes a way back, however, as this isn't even the first time he's cracked open Twitter accounts belonging to ISIS supporters and defaced them. In fact, last year, WauchulaGhost breached some 500 ISIS accounts on Twitter. Then he also used adult content to annoy the terrorists and their supporters.

"The Porn operation is not something new," WauchulaGhost told Softpedia at the time. "It’s been around for a while. There are a few things that the Islamic State fear. One is women and the second is Porn."

This time around, the hacktivist started hijacking their accounts, taking over and posting the adult content to annoy them, specifically with gay porn and imagery. What's more, the hacker also has all the info of their accounts, phone numbers, IP addresses, everything.

Not his first rodeo

A similar campaign took place following the Orlando nightclub shooting, when WauchulaGhost hacked into accounts of ISIS supporters, replaced pro-ISIS imagery with pro-LGBTQ+ messages.

The hacker started receiving death threats almost immediately, in the form of DMs filled with gory images. In short, ISIS was threatening to behead him for his actions. It's been months since then and the hacker is still in one piece.

The threats, of course, were bound to come given how ISIS and the group's supporters work and the fact that it's been close to two years now since WauchulaGhost started his assault on jihadist accounts.

It is quite clear at this point that we'll keep hearing about this hacktivist's hijacking efforts in the years to come.
