The CW Network has bought the rights to a TV show based on the graphic novel "Hacktivist," created by none other than Hollywood superstar Alyssa Milano.

Milano created Hacktivist inspired by the Anonymous movement and released it in 2014, with the help of writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, and illustrator Marcus To. Since then, the novel has released a second volume.

Hacktivist's action revolves around two characters named Nate Graft and Ed Hiccox, co-founders of the largest social media company in the(ir) world.

Unknown to all, the two are also the driving force behind "sve_Urs3lf," a white hat hacking group set to bring social change across the world.

When Milano created Hacktivist, the Anonymous group were at the height of their popularity and strength. Milano admitted that the hacker collective and their actions inspired her to create the comic, which received a lot of positive reviews.

The TV show will be produced and aired on CW Network, a TV network co-owned by CBS and Warner Bros., founded in 2006.

The critical and commercial success of Mr. Robot surely had a positive impact on CW's decision to adapt the comic to a show.

According to Deadline, Milano isn't set to star, but will produce the show with executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord, BOOM! Studios and CBS TV Studios. No launch date has been provided as of yet.
