14 DAY TRIAL // Apple rolled out iOS 9.3.2 on May 16, and it looks like a jailbreak has already been developed, although it’s worth mentioning from the very beginning that this isn’t available for download. So if you’re looking for a download link, you won’t find it, but should it become available, we’ll update this article to let you know about it.
The only thing we have for now is this video posted on Twitter by qwertyoruiop, which apparently shows a sixth-generation iPod touch running iOS 9.3.2 getting jailbroken.
Browser-based automated jailbreaking solution
Also known as Luca Todesco, the hacker managed to develop a jailbreak solution that’s very similar to the original JailbreakMe tool available on older iPhones and iOS versions. Basically, that method implied pointing Safari on iPhone to a website that performed the jailbreak automatically. All users had to do was launch the JailbreakMe website, hit a start button, and then wait until the process was completed.
The iPhone was rebooted automatically, and the Cydia icon was placed on the home screen, providing access to a whole new world of apps and tweaks that are not available on the original iPhone.
On the other hand, the typical jailbreak solutions involve connecting the iPhone to the PC with iTunes and a Lightning cable, so it’s easy to see why the JailbreakMe solution was a lot more convenient.
Unfortunately for those who can’t wait to jailbreak their iOS 9.3.2 devices, the hacker hasn’t said anything about a release date, and there are chances that he might never make it public. The good news, however, is that a jailbreak has already been developed, so someone else in the iPhone community could find an alternative way of unlocking devices and make it public at some point in the future.
For the moment, the only thing we can do is watch the video below to see the JailbreakMe-like solution in action on an iPod touch running iOS 9.3.2 and wait for a potential public release.
